RENEW – is a combination of my love for all things vintage with modern influences of day to day living. Fashion is art and this is how I show my creativity. The company started in the fall of 2010 with my very first runway collection. Renew could be categorized as vintage inspired, suitable for a day-to-night looks and can compliment anything in your wardrobe. Every piece is currently a one off creation, no piece will be the same. I thank God everyday and also thank those who support me through this journey. RENEW strives for individuality. Own your Style.

Designer Muse – Mark Fast
Mark Fast was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He studied at Central Saint Martins and worked with Bora Aksu and Stuart Vevers before setting up his own label. His first collection was his FW 2010 at London Fashion week.
Why do we love Fast?
He is Knit Guru. The way he manipulates knitwear is almost magical. He takes a basic shape and morphs it into something extraordinary. He keeps you guessing in every collection he produces and you will never get bored with his designs.

Pretty Playful
I was asked to pull some looks for the beautiful model Riley Henderson. She was doing a personal shoot with the talented Photographer Mike Jones. They wanted to do something playful and fun instead of the normal editorial shoot. I used some of my personal pieces along with pieces from RENEW and funky thrift finds from Fatimaya boutique. Here are my favorite picks from her shoot.

The Kulture Loft
The Kulture Loft was an event created for young up and coming local designers, artists and musicians to show off their talents. The space was set up like a mini marketplace giving consumers a chance to see what the local market has to offer. The designers were: Shay Ford (Me) for Renew, Brittany Wolffe for AToK (A Touch of Kima), Jasmine Butterfield for Jasmine Blaire Creations, Perri Furbert for TGL (The Gold Label), James Lee for XoeTiqu and Chineza Augustus for LaRevolt. There were special performances by Kombat, Burning star and Blaq Tucker. A Special lounge section was contributed by Orange Bay consignment and live painting by local artist Calix Smith. Special thanks to Vernell for helping put the event together, to our sponsors Burrows & Lightbourne, Miles Market, and Barritts. Also thanks to Lamont Robinson for Jakoma Studios for allowing us to have the space.
